Humboldt Universität zu Berlin is the main scientific partner in the consortium and is represented by Prof. Dr. Odening from the Department of Agricultural Economics. The team around Prof. Dr. Odening has years of experience with index-based insurance and yield-estimation in agriculture.

Tashkent State University of economics is the main research partner in Uzbekizstan. One of the largest universities in Central Asia, TSUE has seven economic faculties and will contribute in the development of a regionally adapted insurance product.

Kazakh Agro Technical Universtiy is the main research partner in Kazakhstan. Funded in 1957, Seifullin Kazakh Agro Technical University is the largest agrarian higher educational institution of Central and North Kazakhstan and the first higher educational institution of Astana.

University of Central Asia (UCA) is the main research partner in Kyrgyzstan. Founded in year 2000, UCA's research program was initiated in 2008 with initial research foci on Social Resilience, Economic Livelihoods, Climate Change, and Natural Resource Management.
